The most important spiritual step a person can take is to turn from their sins and commit their life to Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift from God to all his Children and only by trusting in Jesus Christ can we be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into there life by faith. Being saved begins with prayer of commitment, but involves a lifelong commitment to follow Jesus and put His priorities above our own. Salvation happens when we turn away from our sin ask for repentance and step out in faith trusting that Jesus is the Son of God and that He alone can pay the penalty for our sins. God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life.
“God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16
All of us sin and our sin has separated us from God.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.” Romans 3:23
Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for our sin. Through Him we can know and experience God’s love and plan for our life.
“Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God’s love and plan for our lives.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
You can receive Christ by faith through prayer
Prayer is talking to God. God knows your heart and is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart.
